This city has been honored by the State Agricultural Ministry as “advanced city in vegetable planting”, “advanced city in agricultural industrialization and operation” “advanced city in grain planting” “demonstration city of vegetable planting free of environmental pollution” “advanced city of animal husbandry” and “the city of potato in China ”, etc.

　　First of all, agricultural readjustment attained good effect, with backbone industry more competitive. At present, industrial crop covers an area of 1.1 million mu (about 73000 hectares), among which, vegetables cover 900 thousand mu (6000 hectares), potato of spring and autumn 500 thousand (33333 hectares), watermelon 60000 mu (4000 hectares), plastic tunnel with warm temperature in winter 31000 mu (2066 hectares). In addition, we have taken measures in 460000 mu (30666 hectares) land to prevent the crop from sunshine in summer and let the spirng condition come in advacnce and the autumn condition last even longer.

　　Secondly, the agricultural industrialization is progressing steadily. There are 578 companies engaging in the processing of agricultural products, of which one company is a national backbone, 8 companies are major companies in Shandong province, 13 companies are major companies of Zaozhuang city. The industrialization of agriculture is promoted gradually by several major companies specialized in different areas, as the industrialization of animal husbandry by Yingtai Group, the industrialization of vegetable by Tengzhou vegetable wholesale market and Lunan vegetable dehydration factory. Meanwhile, the industrialization of grains and oil has come into shape as Hengyuan Oil Company playing a leading part. The industrialization of wood and fruit developed energetically as we set up the wood processing industry park and fruit wholesale market.

　　Thirdly, the demonstration base of agricultural products free of public pollution develops steadily, as we continuously promote the standardization in agriculture. In the north vegetable area, there is a base applying standardization to the agriculture which covers an area expanding to 300000 mu, a base of vegetable free of public pollution covering 200000 mu, a base of green food covering 30000 mu, a base for experiment and planting of transformed organic food covering 1000mu. In Longyang County , we carry out the “Ecological homeland and well-off life program” which effectively improve the environment of agriculture and farmers' lives, with the quality of agricultural products reaching new heights. At present, there are 10 types of agricultural products attaining the national certificate as green food and agricultural products free of public pollution. For example, the Jinshuwang Potato and Yingtai frozen chicken has attained the national green food certificate, and ginger, taro, kidney bean, peanut and Liucun Pear are all crowned as national agricultural products free of public pollution.

　　Fourthly, we try to ensure that whole society is providing regular service to the agriculture. The whole service system is improving continuously, which greatly help farmers tackle those technology problems. Each yare, there are more than 1000 varieties and 50 new technologies was introduced in, demonstrated and spread out. We have also established a city-county-village agricultural information system including providing a great deal of information to farmers for free. In addition, capital service is promoted as the Agricultural bank and credit cooperatives have loaned to support farmers in accumulative amount of 5 billion RMB Yuan.
